The story began with Muna, whose passion for cooking is rooted in heritage, perseverance, and a lifelong ambition. Raised in Yemen and later resettled in Saudi Arabia, she developed a deep appreciation for Yemenite cuisine—where food is a symbol of culture, connection, and tradition.
Determined to share these flavours, Muna started her venture in 2022 where Yemen Heaven found its home in a historic Grade-II listed building in York.
Today, Muna and her family are dedicated to preserving Yemenite cuisine, using fresh ingredients, time-honoured techniques, and a deep respect for tradition to bring its rich flavours to a wider audience.
